Kendo    Tai Chi           Hapkido

Kendo (meaning “The Way of the Sword”) is a style of swordsmanship based on the ancient Japanese art of “Samurai”.   It is fast moving and intense, teaching students quick thinking and decisiveness.   During sparring, Kendoists wear protective body armor and wield a lightweight sword of split bamboo to practice a very precise style of sword fighting.

Students in Beginner Kendo learn the basic strikes, blocks and evading techniques as well as master the intricacies of donning the body armor and sword maintenance.   Advanced students continue to perfect the rudimentary techniques while broadening their combat abilities through free-sparring.
