Tai Chi     Hapkido

Tai Chi (meaning “Two Extreme Opposites in Harmony” alluding to “Balance”), is a low-impact martial art developed to improve circulation, tone muscles, increase flexibility, improve posture, enhance balance, and induce relaxation.   Often Tai Chi is studied for its health benefits, but this art also has practical and calming benefits for daily life as well, and can also be used by martial arts practitioners to enhance the study of the other art forms.

Tai Chi Advanced class covers principle and advance techniques of Yang Style Tai Chi.   In this class students study the traditional forms in depth and also learn meditation, partner sensitivity training, and utilize the sword, knife, staff, fan and Qi Gong practices.  Qi Gong is the Chinese philosophy and practice of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness for mental, spiritual and physical health, as well as the development of human potential.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong for Beginners class covers beginning techniques in Tai Chi and Qi Gong as well as exploring meditation and energy work.   No previous experience is required, and the class will be tailored to the abilities of the students in attendance.
